Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
- What type of equipment do I need to take the
courses?
- Why are the courses so inexpensive?
- Will I be able to interact with an instructor?
- Will I earn college credits for these courses?
- Can I access the courses at anytime?
SPE Tactical Training utilizes the same software
as the major universities. The only equipment that you will have to have is a
computer with Internet access. The computer must have an updated browser
installed (Internet Explorer or Firefox). Some courses have embedded flash video
and audio files that require you to have the appropriate browser plug-in. These
features are all free and can be downloaded from the website of your browser's
provider (Microsoft, Mozilla).
This site is best viewed in Mozilla Firefox and we recommend that you install
that program. Microsoft's Internet Explorer occasionally encounters errors when
processing complex flash pages and may close. If this is a problem for you,

This company was started by a law enforcement
officer (who is still a fulltime cop) who was tired of the rising costs of law enforcement training. The goal
of this company has always been to help other cops succeed, our goal has never
been to get rich. As a result, we are offering high-quality training at a
fraction of the price of normal courses. Try not to fall into the old trap of
equating quality and price; "It must be good, it costs a lot". Many of our
Spanish students bought the Rosetta Stone courses because of this mindset. After
failing to reach their goals, they came to us and succeeded.
Look for some great things from this company
in the near future.
One of the advantages of taking
our courses is that you can have as much Instructor interaction as you want.
Communication with the instructor is done via a bulletin board system that is
included in every course. Generally, the instructor will respond to your
questions within 24 hours. You can also communicate with other students via the
bulletin board. The instructors also make themselves available via chat rooms in
our Spanish courses.
No. You will not earn college
credit by taking these courses.
Law enforcement training comes
from two sources: government created courses; courses created by private
companies. SPE tactical Training courses fall into the second group. Typically,
the credibility of such courses rests on the instructor(s) and creator(s) of the
courses. In the case of SPE Tactical Training, our goal is to surpass the
competition in quality, accessibility and price. We have very stringent
standards related to course quality and the qualifications of any instructors.
Once a course has begun, you can
access it at anytime and from anywhere that has an Internet connection.
